4/6/09
The eggs arrived today! We are going try to hatch 21 eggs! Mrs. Mary talked to us about chickens and how the farm give us things we need. We are very excited about our eggs!
Our eggs are going in the incubator. Classes have been coming in
taking a peak at our eggs.
4/13/09
We candeled our eggs today. Out of 21 eggs there are 9 eggs that are fertile. Candleing the eggs was so cool we could even see the embryo heart beat!!! 13 more days to go.
4/23/09
After candeling our eggs again I think we have 4 good eggs. I took out the yellow egg turners so the eggs can get ready to hatch. Hopefully we will have four chick when we come back to school.

We started with 21 eggs. We are down to four eggs that I think will hatch. I didn't take out the othe three just in case but I had to seperate them so they didn't hurt the others. 3 days to go!

We have some very excited "mother hens" waiting for their chick to hatch.

The chicks hatched today. THere were two little chicks here this moring waiting to meet theri new friends! Everyone was SO excited. THey need to stay in teh incubator until they dry and then they can move into the brooder.
